Hi, I’m Emily Mitchell.

Hello, I am Emily Mitchell! I am a Texas raised, mother, a wife, fitness instructor, Health coach with Lyngso Fitness Academy, and certified nutritional therapy practitioner.

I teach a variety of classes including Barre, Cycle, Strength, and Bounce, a trampoline based class. You can grow stronger with me via Livestream at home, or at Define Life.

Most recently, I have turned my passion for wellness into a profession to help others by becoming a Health Coach/Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

Years ago, I went through a trial that began my path to health and wellness. After having kids, I was diagnosed with severe Postpartum Depression and Anxiety. This is very common in most women due to the hormone shifts our bodies experienced through childbirth. I began on a comprehensive wellness journey that included nutrition, exercise, mindfulness practices, and accountability from professionals. The results changed my life!

I lost 70 lbs in 7 months after the birth of my second child. Not only did I look and feel the best I ever had, but what happened within my soul and my mind changed me forever.

I believe out of the fires of adversity, our true self emerges. No one looks forward to trials, but who you become changes how you show up for life. So let's show up!

My mantra for wellness is that, “the secret sauce is in the accountability, the community, and the systems you set in place.” In total, these will help you reach any goal you have. This is exactly why I am here to help and support you on your wellness journey. We will embark on it together by seeking all the good things!


My Approach

 

Where do we start? 

* identify goals and establish accountability. Big or small, we can do it! Accountability will help you go farther than you could on your own.

“You will not always be motivated, so you must learn to be discipled”, and have a professional who will hold you to it

* set a plan and a system to achieve your goals. 


 

Dream it

We want to decrease the body stressors and increase the resources it has to function better.

We can focus on properly balanced macronutrients such as Fats, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Hydration, and the quality of these sources.

We will also look at the micronutrient content vitamins and minerals that our bodies need, that we must eat in order to receive.


Build it

I will walk right alongside you, helping you identify how different foods affect energy, mood, and digestion, etc.

We will identify your goals and concerns. Fueling our bodies isn’t the only way to consider health. Together we will take a holistic route, and one that practices mindfulness, paying attention to flavor, proper preparation, being savvy in the kitchen, as well as on the go.
